2000 johnson j40plssm vro delete

there are lots of videos ect on the physical delete of the vro pump. what steps do i need to follow to eliminate the chimes. Can i just unplug all the vro and oil tank harnesses from the motor? The oem fuel pump seems a bit high, are any of the aftermarket ones worth using?

Working on a 40 HP .----Installing the non mixing fuel pump right over the pulse port on side of top cylinder.-----Correctyou unplug the wires from pump and remove oil tank.

If your Vro is still working no need to replace the pump. Just unplug the oil line and cap it at the connector. Then unplug and remove the tank. Unplug the pump harness and start pre mixing your fuel. The VRO pump works fine as a pre mix pump.
