    I have a 50 HP Yamaha 4 stroke. How can I determine the output of the charging system from the engine? It may be that I have a bad battery (dual batteries) as I do not get but 12.25 volts on the batteries at idle. Can I check the charge directly on the engine?

    I purposefully ran engine out I purposefully ran engine out of gas and left set for 7 months. It is now running rough when I accelerate over 2300-2500 rpm. Sometimes it seems to smooth out if I accelerate full (4100 rpm) and then throttle back to 3500 rpm. Runs smooth at idle. I have used...
