    Shift cable

    Could use some input here. I need a new shift cable for a 1956 RDE-18. The cables I’ve found say pre 1979. Does this really cover all the models back to 1956? Thanks in advance!

    Is a 305370 cover the same size as a 304200.

    Will a 305370 cover for a 1962 28hp fit a 1956 30hp (304200 cover)? Converting to fuel pump and need port hole in the cover. Thanks in advance!

    56 30hp conversion to fuel pump

    I wish to convert my pressurized fuel system to one with a fuel pump. Can I get parts from a later model that would make the conversion? I’ve read where you could use a Mikuni vacuum pump but I’d rather bolt on oem if possible. Thanks in advance to any input.

    Thought I had issues with the drive shaft and bushing at the top of the lower unit because they were burred. After getting the bushing out, it wasn’t as bad as first thought. The drive shaft is only a thousandths smaller where burred. After taking the burrs out, I’ll probably be down to two...

    Fuel filter for pressurized fuel system

    I have a ‘56 30hp outboard and was wondering if an external fuel/water filter would be prudent with all the ethanol issues. The fuel linens from the tank look to be in great shape but they’re pre-ethanol. Should they be replaced to avoid ethanol issues. Thanks for any input.

    I’ve recently inherited a RDE-18C in pieces and getting ready to rebuild. The drive shaft bushing is badly worn and drive shaft isn’t to far behind.
