56 30hp conversion to fuel pump

I wish to convert my pressurized fuel system to one with a fuel pump. Can I get parts from a later model that would make the conversion? I’ve read where you could use a Mikuni vacuum pump but I’d rather bolt on oem if possible. Thanks in advance to any input.

Part # 304200 lower bypass cover-----fuel pump will bolt right on. marineengine says replaced by 553920. Sounds too cheap to be true. Check it out.

EDIT: Yep, I checked it out and it seems to be correct. 553920. I'm very surprised at the price and availability.

You can also call Tim's Outboard in Hackensack MN, for the other parts you will need like the male fuel line coupling. 218 682 2331. Part should arrive in a couple days. If you need hard to find parts, especially for vintage motors, Mike or Dan are your go to source. Going on 60 years in the business.
