    '71/'72 Model 110 Merc 9.8 Stator Coils

    Can anyone tell me what the ohms range is for the stator high speed(336-4468A1) and the low speed(336-4467A1) coils? My high shows 169 ohms and the low shows no continuity. I live in Canada and my S/N tag is on the port side and stamped 7000026 (which doesn't match anything I have found online)...

    1970 9.8 coil problems??

    My old Merc(1970 or 71,Thunderbolt Ignition) doesn't want to start when it is wet. Leave the cowl off for a couple hours, starts great. Wires seem to be good, reading 0.0 to 0.1 ohms with meter set on 200 ohms. Both coil primary circuits show 0.1 ohms. I can't seem to get any ohms reading on the...

    1970 Merc 110 9.8 HP Sputtering on acceleration

    Starts and idles great. Rebuilt fuel pump. Cleaned carb, new needle and seat, new gaskets. Needle drop set at spec'd 3/64" and 1/4" between top and bottom tangs.
