    Wiring diagram

    Does anyone have a wiring diagram for an early 80's Mercury 50hp 4 cylinder with a serial number of 6060234? I'm questioning where a wire is supposed to go, I believe it comes from the key switch and attaches to the starter but can't remember, The motor started and ran without it conneced.

    I found that I had no spark so I ohmed out the trigger and stator and found a pair of wires from the stator to only be at 68 ohms so I ordered a new stator and a new trigger because the trigger had a wire in bad condition but resistance was within spec.
