Wiring diagram

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for an early 80's Mercury 50hp 4 cylinder with a serial number of 6060234? I'm questioning where a wire is supposed to go, I believe it comes from the key switch and attaches to the starter but can't remember, The motor started and ran without it conneced.

It's on the right side if you are facing the front of the boat. I believe mine is an 82 and a 4 cylinder not a 3 but it's a small black wire from the harness which I'm guessing is a ground and from that diagram looks to be correct. Thanks but if you have access to the proper diagram that would be awesome.
