    I will trace those wires and make sure they are good and if not I will replace. I hope to have some better weather here soon. South West Michigan is a bit chilly at night by the time I get home and its not in a garage.

    I've been an off and on novice boater for a number of years and always thought that having it on the throttle was the way it needs to be... but to your point, I guess nothing says that it needs to be. It just makes it very convenient while steering and operating the throttle at the same time.
