1990 Force Outboard King frozen pin removed new king pin has play inside 2x plastic bearings from Marine Engine need quick advice PLEASE

i basically had to cut off the bracket on both sides and got it out. I found a new bracket old stock for it. That's the only way to fix it. Supposedly if not changed on time the hole gets out of round and it does not tighten on the shaft.

1990 Force Outboard King frozen pin removed new king pin has play inside 2x plastic bearings from Marine Engine need quick advice PLEASE

I went on ChatGPT and apparently the 0.5mm between the king pin and the plastic bushings is excessive it is supposed to be 0.1 so lubricant gets through. 0.5mm will cause clunking and unstable steering. So I guess I have to find two freshwater swivel brackets with the bearing bushings pressed...

1990 Force Outboard King frozen pin removed new king pin has play inside 2x plastic bearings from Marine Engine need quick advice PLEASE

I just measured the gap with a wire gap gauge and here is the picture. the 0.025 is hard to get in the 0.022 is a bit easier. That amounts to 0.5mm at the most. Is that something that grease will fill and be ok?

1990 Force Outboard King frozen pin removed new king pin has play inside 2x plastic bearings from Marine Engine need quick advice PLEASE

My twin engine motors are both frozen probably at the top plastic bearing. I removed the motor and lower drive then the leg, and with heat and big hammer drove out the old king pin. Removed the 2 plastic sleeve bearings and cleaned up the inside of the aluminum swivel bracket using a rotary...

1990Bayliner Trophy twin Force 120s Hydraulic steering hoses burst

It did not burst no swelling at the ends, it kinked over and over and broke at the crease created from the kink while moving the engines. It was like this for the past 2 years since I got the boat and it must have been like that for a lot longer if the guy felt the need to put a plastic tube...

1990Bayliner Trophy twin Force 120s Hydraulic steering hoses burst

it is either Seastar 1 or 2 with the manual pump at the helm Also my hose did not swell it just formed a bent crease from the position it was in. I am thinking of devising something to keep it from doing so right at the end maybe a cut tube with zip ties. Any suggestions?

1990Bayliner Trophy twin Force 120s Hydraulic steering hoses burst

I will eventually get new hoses. This is a manual low psi system not high pressure so they should hold burst. I have never used those connectors but they use them on most newer systems with no issues. What fluid are you guys using for this system. I know seastar has its own Iso15 fluid but I...

1990Bayliner Trophy twin Force 120s Hydraulic steering hoses burst

So I am including the pictures of everything related to this issue and hope that there is a solution to not take out the old hoses which is harder that impossible. So they had kinks in them at the ends which I ignored for a long time and while at the Channel Islands one burst. I got a tow back...

Any advice on a starting battery and rectifier/regulator for a 1990 Force 120HP

I had a stator fail on one of my twin 120HP. I have a Sea 7650 Add-A-Battery System with ACR and Battery Switch and a AGM battery for stater and a deep cycle for accessories. I was told the AGM is not recommended for the CDI stater. Stater measure 0.5V DVA and open resistance, brown/yellows and...

Trophy 2302 Twin force 120s has one over-revving at times badly/Help

So the boat is a 24 footer trophy 2302. The port engine was fully rebuilt as was the lower drive. So I got the boat with two 4 blades 19p props. The props were doing 4500 at WOT so I first got 2 15p and the port engine and sometimes the other starboard were over-revving or cavitation/ventilation...

    1990 Force 120hp doesn't fire up

It is from a 1990 6 brown wires for 150HP 20 pole stator to a 1990 120hp 4 wire. So the extra# 5 and #6 brown with yellow or blue gets put aside?

    1990 Force 120hp doesn't fire up

Does anybody know if a stator for a 150hp Force outboard can be used on a 120hp? I got one and did not know it would have wiring 1 through 6 instead of 1 through 4 plus the 2 yellows. This is for the the 1990 120 outboard.
