    Hello, hopefully I can gain some advice. I have a 96 Johnson j40REDS jet drive. The motor was originally just a rope pull and previous owner had electric start installed. The ignition switch wasn't the greatest and I had full intention to swap it out with no luck of finding a suitable switch...

    Hey all, I am new to this site. Today I was pulling my boat for about 10-15 minutes and when I got out of my truck I heard the engine turning over and somehow the key came on. The gas line was unhooked so if at some point it did start I doubt it ran long. I have no idea how long it was cranking...
