    EVINRUDE VRO 90HP 1988

    Could anyone please advise me Could anyone please advise me what the mpg of this engine should be? We have been told it's quite a thirsty engine but on our first trip we only managed about 2mpg and this wasn't with the throttle fully open! Is this fairly normal & expected? Many thanks
