    My son has a Volvo penta 8.1 L, GSI-A in a 2002 cobalt 26 foot boat. He just put on a new fuel pump and he said it was $590. He did not say what brand. Anyway, it’s only pumping fuel sometimes then it’ll pump fuel and then quit again. He has taken off the fuel filter that came with the pump...

    Was running fine when we put it away for the winter and a garage. It started up for a very short time and then quit.
