Hello:
I recently had my (1974?) Kiekhafer/Mercury 110 overhauled by a great tech that is close to my home but far from my lake. Starts and runs fine, but the twist throttle is so stiff, I have to use both hands to twist it. Wasn't like that before.
What/where is the correct place to adjust the tension for this? I'm no expert on motors but capable of simple to moderate-complexity adjustments.
Thanks for any advice.
Hummelong
P.S. Saturday morning I came down to the dock to find my boat upside-down with the Merc sitting on the lake bottom! I managed to haul it out, get it dried out and running again in a couple hours. If anyone needs help reviving a drowned Merc, I'll gladly give some advice!
