    power steering

    I used my 92 bayliner, 4.3 merc all last summer, and then in the fall we we went back out fishing one more time and the steering was so stiff it too 2 hands to steer the boat. Now then, the pump at the engine was full of fluid and from there I am at a loss where to go next? Thanks

    impeller

    If I hook the water muffs to my merc outdrive and it circulates and cools the engine, does that indicate the impeller is OK and pumping water, or does the pressure of the water hose bypass the impeller? Thanks in advance,

    120 evinrude, 1989, no spark

    This motor has not been run for 7 years. Tried to start it, has gas but no spark. Is there a beginners start to trouble shoot? No spark to the plugs but turns over fine. ??? to do next, before the marina? Thanks, tomnf

    long shaft\short shaft

    I have a short shaft 8 hp merc and my friend has a long shaft 15. Can we swap them so I get the long and he gets the short? Also a merc mechanic said we may have an idle problem due to a [tuner tube difference],All help appreciated, Thanks.

    vinyl top

    I might be on wrong spot for my question but not real sazzy on navigating the site, so here goes. I bought a 20 t Dosett as a projet,engine wnt to shop for rebuild and now I am cleaning up the top Top isin good shape but the clear is tarnished and faded. What should I use to clear it up? Thanks

    120 mercruiser froze up

    I bought this as a project and here we go. Engine is seized, head is off, no way to try and turn it over by hand. I have it soaking with mmo. HOW can I roll it over?? 1970 Dorsett, 20ft, 120 merc.

    Manafold rebuild

    Hello, I am a newbee here and lots of problems with my 1967, 17ft chris Cavalier. No 1, water in the oil and crank case pressure build up. No2, where would be a place to send logs out for rebuild?Tom
