    When buying another a steering cable do you use the housing length or the inside cable length ? I'm buying an after market one so I don't know if the number on the cable can be used. This is going on a Bass tracker TX 17.

    Hard Starting

    I have a 15 hp Mercury that runs fine until you tilt it up for hauling. It then doesn't want to start when you lower it. I pulled the plugs and they were wet but had good fire on them. I pulled and cleaned the carb and didn't find any trash or blockages. Anyone have any ideas how to correct...

    Classic Anniversary 70 Hp ?

    I have a 70 hp 4 cylinder mercury with trim and tilt. The serial number is B106999. Is this an unusual number? I cannot locate this on any serial number searches. I think it may be an '87 anniversary edition.

    1984 Mercury 70 hp stalling

    I have a 70 hp Mercury with 4 cylinders that is stalling when u put it in gear. Runs fine when you can get it engaged. Have the serial # but it's partially obscured. Idle is high after high speed runs. Any thoughts?
