    Distributor part number?

    I'm trying to match up an electronic ignition for my aq260 without much luck. The number stamped on the side of the distributor is 11114878H6. Doesn't seem to cross reference to any Volvo or Sierra part numbers. Any ideas? Thanks Chris

    AQ260 - Starts fine, revs up on its own, then quits...

    Ignition Issue? AQ260 V8

    Engine starts, will idle for about 30 seconds, then the RPM goes way up, and the engine stalls. Not sure what happened, maybe the points got bumped etc? Any suggestions appreciated!! Thanks, Chris

    Suggestions on using an oil extractor

    I just picked up an oil extractor that is meant to suck the oil out of the dipstick tube "to make the process easier". For some reason it is very difficult to get the oil out. The unit has decent suction. Any suggestions? Engine is VP AQ260 5.7 V8. Thanks, Chris

    I'm about to re-wire my upper helm, mainly because the upper ignitions do not work. I have followed the diagrams and everything seems to be correct and the ignition switches are new. Any ideas? Do I need a dual-station ignition swich? FYI: the lower helm ignition switches work just fine...

    AQ260 Ign coil overheating?
