    Generator smokes

    I have a Kohler 7.5 R27 on my houseboat. Recently it started spewing black/dark exhaust. It runs and puts out electricity, but the exhaust is noxious. What should I check? Any ideas would be really appreciated. Dave

    I have an OMC 140STHRCIF that I am going to convert to a Voyager 3.0L EST kit. I am wondering if I need an ESA or not. I have attached a picture of the current coil/dist. I can't see what I think is an esa anywhere. Thanks in advance for any help.... Dave
