    I'm running 99 40 3cyl 2 stroke on my 20/42 aluminum tunnel it used to run 38mph at 5500 now it only runs 31 @ 5100 any suggestions? Compression 120x3

    Is it ok to plug the upper intake hole. The one above the screens. I run a tunnel and my water column misses this hole but fully catches the lower intake sets. Causing me to pull air. And lose water pressure.

    2000 4 stroke 40 bogs down out of the hole. carb adjustments????

    Carbs are clean(dipped and blown out) it bogs down unless you feather the throttle out of the hole, it runs fine at all speeds after that. it also bogs down when in neutral and you try to wrap out the throttle then it catches up and wrapps out.

    I have a 2000 f40mshy and I ran it wide open for two hours straight no problem the other day the idled for about 25 minutes killed it and trailered it. 4 days later out it back in the water and the oil pressure light( I think) came on.     yamaha f40mshy not peeing new water pump. Head gasket?

    changed water pump on four stroke 40 yamaha and ran fine pumped hard on the hose put it in water and no tell tale brought home and ran on hose again weaker stream and some steam out of exaust

    tohatsu m40d head problem

    a few months ago i had an over heat. motor runs has new waterpump, new head gasket, head is not cracked, still getting water in lower cylender. any ideas???

    tohatsu m40d new water pump losing water before it gets to upper part of motor

    I just changes my water pump because i noticed that the motor was not pissing. After changing it it is still not pissing but it is pumping water out of a drain hole just below the plastic trim piece that covers the bolts that you would take off to remove upper unit
