Yet another vacuum switch question...

Hey guys,

So I know and understand why there's a vacuum switch on the hydro electrics, but is there any downside to blocking off the port aside from harsh forward engagement when engine is shut off?

IT makes no sense to do that.----But tell us why you are hoping to do this ????

I buy a lot of new old stock due to the vintage of the engine.. the rubber boots don't last. I replace one or 2 season.

No problem aside from the annoying clunk into gear when you turn the key off. It's just a normal shift as the gears see it.
