Yet another 318 cooling thread.

Sorry for yet another thread about the 318 cooling. I do not know if I have the L318 or LM318 but it's in a 1972 Gibson 36' houseboat. From all the research and searching I've done so far here I think I've come to the conclusion that I have a Sherwood D60 pump. Would all of you agree with me according to the photo below? I can see right down the outlet port of the pump and the forward impeller is toast and I'm looking for a replacement impeller kit for this pump. Any help or part numbers would be much appreciated!

you should get yourself ready for the worst when you go to open that pump ......look for a major and minor rebuild kit...youll now when you open it up

Well, should I look for a major and minor rebuilt kit for a D60 then? I'm first trying to figure out which pump it is...

edit: If it is a D60, I see the major kit is $190.00. So, I'm prepared now. But want to know certain the model. Are you suggesting a major because of the grungy leak between the two halves? Maybe a major would benefit regardless...

It definitely looks like a D60. I have a '71 Silverqueen which is very similar to a Gibson and it looks like the same pump. Mine is a D60.

Its either a d60 or d55,the difference one has (4) 1 inch hose barbs and the other has(2) 1 inch and (2) 1.25 inch hose barbs....hold on Ill go look for you.....the 60 has 4 1 inch hose bibs

I wouldnt buy anything till you get it all apart

That's what made me come to the conclusion it's a D60. I have (4) 1" barbs. Sounds good. Now from the looks of it, it's just held on by the two bolts by the pulley?
I just need to remove the four hoses and the two oil lines. Can I slip the hoses off the barbs for the oil easily, or will oil start spewing out the hoses?

Those aren't oil lines. They are cooling lines that go to the hydraulic pump (power steering pump) that powers the clutch. No oil, just water.
