Year for a 60hp Mariner amp workshop manual recomendations please

"Can anyone on here assist an island-dwelling Brit with a couple of queries. I have a 5.2m RIB with a 60hp Mariner 2 stroke and a 4hp Mariner 2 stroke Sailmate as an auxilliary.

I can find the serial, year date etc for the 4hp on a nice clear plate on the mounting bracket - but no such similar plate for the 60hp !! Only thing I can find is a small plate with 09793942 stamped on it. Can anyone assist with identifying the year of this machine.

Also, as I am looking to do all regular basic servicing myself. Can anyone give me their recomendation for a service manual / workshop manual for these engines - paper versions only as I have already had bad experience of digital car manual .... computers and brake fluid dont mix I discovered !!

Any advice would be welcome

"Duncan, your 60 horse Mariner is a 1994 Mercury built model - your serial indicated it was built at the Merc plant in Belgium.

For your 60 I would grab hold of Seloc's manual for "Mercury/Mariner 2.5-275 horse 1990-2000 repair manual" which may also cover you little kicker if it's also a Merc/Mariner (post 1990 or so)"
