Hi folks--
Any idea of a parts source for the yanmar 4phm-te? I believe most are interchangeable with the 4 phe. The heat exchanger and oil cooler zincs seem atypical pencil zincs.
Also any free downloads for repair manuals? I see one for $12 online, but just checking
I'm just buying a Sundowner 30 with this engine, and some things different from what I'm used to, compared to the Westerbeke (Universal) 35 I had previously. The zincs I mentioned, but also it appears that the sea water circulates through the heat exchanger core, rather than around the core as it did in the Westerbeke. Also, it appears that there are two zincs in the raw water side, and one in the fresh water side? attaching pics. of the exchanger and t-stat. Zincs are parts 8 and 15, and it appears that the T-stat is behind the mount below the tank (marked "Yanmar," which apparently is flow through from the main body of the , exchanger, not the core, which is what leads me to believe raw water circulates through the core, but I don't know--also can't tell from this how water enters and leaves the core...
