Yamalube 2 cycle, irs it worth the bucks?

What two cycle oils do you guys run in your yamaha's? I just bought a 2005 40 D on a G3 1652...how often do you use the ringfree additive? I use stabil in every tank full...

In my opinion, it's always best to use dealer recommended fluids but in my area, other compatible 2 cycle oils cost about the same as Yamalube. Check the specs or call the dealer to get the oil specs. As for ringfree, I use it in all fuel that I use. It's not expensive- I stock up on it whenever I'm at the dealer.

I have twin 150 HPDI that I bough in 2005. I just went over 900 hours. I always used Wal-Mart brand 2 cycle oil. I know they say use Yamaha oil maybe I'm just lucky . I use ringfree about every 4 months. I mix 2oz. to a qt. and fill my fuel filters .This flushes out carbon etc. It's a good idea to add it to your fuel tank also. I'm fouling up my rhight eng O2 sensor valve ( see post ) Don't think it's from the oil I use.
