YamahaF69tlra no charge

What resistance do you have on the battery charging wires coming off the stator ??
the three green wires that go to round plug tested wire 1 to2 is 1.6 ohms wires 2to 3 is1,8 ohms 3to 1 is 1.6 ohms these 3 wires come from stator and go to rec./regulator the other 2 wires [ brown and blue ] also go to from stator via plug in to rec/regulator test resistance from stator brown wire to stator blue wire 321.4 ohms . hope this helps Racerone thanks for all tour patiance doug . have carby,s off so will be aday or so before can test volts do i need a harness to test volts .

SM shows those wires going to the charge coil.

Thanks Boscoe so it seems that test ok for ohms . now i need to find peak voltage adaptor. in meantime are thier any simple things i may have missed checked all ground connections, checked fuse on red wire going to pos on batt. and fuse in wire harness on motor, no corrosion any cables taco seemed to registar ok . trying to look at all cheap fixes as new stator is about900.$ in canada can i bench test used stator if find one

Have you tested the lighting (stator) coils for output voltage?

You can measure RMS voltage and convert it to peak voltage.

If the charge coil output voltage is acceptable but the R/R output voltage is not to specification the inference is that the R/R is faulty.
