"i have digital gauges on my boat fitted to a 2005 yamaha 80hp 4 stroke.

rev counter works fine but speedo isnt registering,
if i disconect the pipe at the leg and blow air up it registers on the speedo.
any ideas how i unblock it if its clogged in the gearbox, iv tried putting a piece of wire down the tube but its still the same.

You will have to drop the leg

the reason i didnt blow back f

the reason i didnt blow back from the gauge was i had just put the new tubing on it.
what should i be looking for when i drop the gearbox.

"Disconnect the speedo tube th

"Disconnect the speedo tube that is located on the front of the gear housing and blow back through the lower unit. There is a small pin hole on the leading edge of the gear housing that water is forced into that pressurizes the speedo tube. If air will not blow back through, you will need to clean out the passage somehow. Its not easy."
