Can anyone tell me or direct me to specific information re the exact space/clearance/dimensions needed on the transom side for a Yamaha 250 to tilt as much as its mechanism allows.
The reason I ask is that my center console boat has a full (no notch no motor well) transom. I will be mounting the Yamaha on a jackplate that will lift the motor about four inches above the transom. Will these four inches above the transom and say around 8 inches of set back allow the Yamaha to tilt properly?
