Hi to all, some of you have helped me out tremendously in the past. Just changed impeller, had ordered Sierra water pump repair kit 18-3148. I may have read it wrong, but all of Sierra's info seemed to reference me to this kit #, although it says on it Yamaha 682 whereas my motor is 684.
Anyway, I installed impeller, but literally had to hammer it on the shaft with a pipe, all the way down. Very tight fit. Did get the key in, and is pumping water. Did I get the wrong impeller?
Big problem, just because I didn't know what I was doing, shifting will not go into reverse. Neutral and forward fine. If someone can give instructions that would be appreciated. Will I have to take foot off again to adjust this to proper position? Getting the foot off was no problem.
One more question, would the Seloc manual 2-60, 1997-1989 have shown me how to reconnect shift rod properly? I am going to order one, but was concerned that it covers so many models.
