I need a couple nuts for my 89 yamaha 40 2 stroke;the 2 nuts that hold the steering hook to the motor;the part number is 90185-10015-00 self locking nut;it retails for 16 dollars for 2 and you must order it;can anyone tell me what size it is-metric-so i can look for it at a good hardware store. Thanks

I found the correct nuts at a local hardware store(Church and Morse in Meriden) for 45 cents for two. Guess that's one way Yamaha makes money. The correct nut is M10x1.00 pitch. Thanks
