Yamaha F80b water pump

Hi!
i recently bought a Yamaha f80 and i have replaced the water pump and i am wondering if its supposed to come water out where the speed hose runs out? See video.

Water from intake is directed thru speed tube to generate a speed value. But if your hose is disconnected then water will dump out. I don't think it's hurting anything by exiting the hose, but you have less water pressure delivered to coolong system that is generated by water pump.
