"Hi, all you Yamahaexperts. I

"Hi, all you Yamahaexperts. I am thinking of buying a 150 hp 4-stroke engine for my boat, and I have been strongly recommended to consider the Yamaha F150. I would be grateful for your opinions on this engine. The engine will not be used for trolling-fishing, but it would be nice if it could run on lower rpms for longer periods of time, say 2-3 hrs. One thing I have heard, is that when running on lower rpms, the engine does not perform very well; that oil gets into the gas...? Pls excuse my english, I am sending this question from Finland."

During break-in yes the engine

During break-in yes the engine will "make oil". As you suggested gas will get into oil until the rings are seated. Make sure your prop is sized correctly to enable 6000RPM's which will seat the rings.
