"simple question about shaft length . . . when shaft lengths are provided for example, 20" or 25" on the noted model where is the measurement taken? from what points on the motor? is it from where the motor bracket rests on the transom to the cavitation plate or two other points?

also, if i run the cavitation plate below the hull bottom about 3 or 4 inches are there any consequences?"
