Hi Yamaha owners.
Had an interesting fault that still existed after I had replaced coils, leads, plugs and over hauled fuel pump. Had 5psi out of fuel pump and 10psi out of hand primer and a electric pump I had connected. And still the engine stopped after 1500 meters. Removed carbs and found needles had a coating on them causing them to only let a little fuel into the carbs. Cleaned them with auto cutting compound and brake clean and engine goes perfectly now. Engine had been stopped for six months while I waited for my back to be operated on. As there is no lube going to the carbs only after the carbs I add 60mls of two stroke oil into every tank fill. There is no extra smoke and engine idles smooth as.
