First year owning a 2016 Yamaha VMAX SHO. My plan was to fog the outboard using a gas/fogging oil mixture. However I didn't realize there were 4 water inlets on the engine and only two were covered by the muffs. When I started the engine no water was coming out of the telltale. After about 10 minutes i heard an alarm and immediately shutdown the engine. I'm assuming it was the engine temperature alarm. Anyway, I'm thinking that the two water inlets on the lower unit cone were sucking air and not allowing water to get to the powerhead. Does anyone know how to cover all four water inlets so I can properly fog the engine?

Any help would be appreicated!
