Yamaha 250 2stroke shutdown at high full throttle

"Hi. I have a 2001 Yamaha 250 Hp SX250TURZ 2-stroke engine which runs until around 5000 rpm (or at full throttle coming out of the hole) and shuts down. If you try throttling down it still shuts down. After putting it back in neutral, it starts right up again. At low speeds it seems to run a little rougher, although I can't be sure. And at idle at the dock, there appears to be some amount of gasoline coming up in the water from the exhaust (given that it's a 2 stroke, I assume some of this is normal except it seems more than usual). Also, I have replaced fuel filters and spark plugs which did not help.

sounds like you have a torn diaphram is a low pressure pump. and yes that will explain gas coming out of the exhaust. i hope this helps i have a few of these engines and it sounds like a problem i had a few years ago
