yamaha 2006 300hp 2 stroke

I have 2 problems with my 300 first when I start the motor up and take off sometimes it dont want to get the RPM's up it just has no power like the timeing is not advancing, I am pretty sure it is a timing advance problem, so what I do and seems to temp fix the problem is turn motor off and work the throtle handle full foward and full reverse most of the time this will get the motor to run normally sometimes I have to do this a few times for it to work

second problem is the motor seems to not run steady at running RPM's , I cruse at 3400 to 4200 RPM's most of the time, I changes all fuel filters and water separator and even tuned up with new plugs and same problem still present

This is an HPDI Yamaha. Chances are you need to have the fuel injection system including the HP pump serviced by a qualified Tech.

Ok I have the problem cured
on the linkage for the shif cables on the starboard side of the motor there are 3 little switches right at the end of where the cable slides and 1 of the switches went bad it was staying stuck in 1 position so I replaced that switch and poof problem cured
