Need some input ---
My engine runs well until high speeds after several minutes of running.
At high speed, It appears as though a sensor is shutting the engine down. Not a complete shut-down, but the engine will only then run at
a crawl. I believe Yamahas have an overheating sensor to protect the engine. I have replaced the waterpump recently and water is running out of the side of the engine so I do not believe it is over-heating.
I think the Sensor is bad.... But, I am not sure a sensor is even on this engine!
Can't find it.... Any help is much appreciated.
The engine will run fine all day long at 25mph or less. At greater speeds the problem starts. To solve the problem, I shut the engine down for 5 minutes then start again, running no more than 20-25 mph.
