"I have been reading posts fro

"I have been reading posts from Skeeter ZX190 owners who are getting as much as 67mph with this motor. I am not getting near that. However, I have not had my 10 hour service done yet. Is this a contributing factor????? Thanks for any info."

"What speed are you getting?

"What speed are you getting?

How many on board? is your fuel tank full? livewell/bait well? how much gear on board?

"Bob" may get 67 mph by himself, with 5 gallons of gas in the tank and nothing else on board. Pile on 2 more beer drinking buddies, fill the tanks and add gear for the day and his speed could drop by 15 mph or more..."

"I AM NOT EVEN REMOTELY CLOSE

"I AM NOT EVEN REMOTELY CLOSE TO FAMILIAR WITH THAT PARTICULAR BOAT. however i own a 20 foot lakeand bay flats boat, which runs 77.3 on the gps.with a 226 ox66 yamaha on it. however i have a few friends that have the same boat and engine that only runs mid 60's at best. the difference is simply the setup of the boat ie prop engine height and rigging so all i am saying is look further into your setup and compare it with others and i think you will find your difference there i hope this helps."

"When your priority is absolut

"When your priority is absolute top end speed and besting all your buddies top end it means absolute strain on the powerhead too. Big prop pitch = high top end speed and maximum strain on the powerhead coming out of the hole. Bottom line you'll beat him by a few minutes to the fishing hole, but you'll also beat him back to the dealer for a new engine."
