Yamaha 150 starting issue

Hello - I am having a problem getting my Yam150 4 stroke to crank. The starter engages into the flywheel but does not crank the wheel. I get clicking sounds from the starter thereafter.
I also noticed that the trim on the motor was very slow, moreso when going down. So I repalced the battery.. issue is the same.

I then replaced the starter with solenoid - same issue.. only now with the new starter, it will not even engage. Amy ideas?

Sounds more like a cranking issue than a starting issue.

Wiring from the battery to the starting motor would be my next point of investigation. Connection points at both ends as well.

Do you have a set of battery jumper cables? You can bypass the existing wiring and then see if the problem is cured. If so, it is the battery cables.

Yeah, just tried that and nothing....not even any clicking from the starter which I was at least getting without the jumper cables

So I screwed up here - I had the jumper cables backwards on the battery when I did this test and now I lost my trim and the starter engaging.. and my dash does not light up now..

Accessories work... horn, wiper, etc but nothing on the motor... There has to be a fuse for that somewhere, right?
