I have an issue with the alarm going off when I run the boat in waves and the boat makes jump. slamming on to the water. The alarm goes away if I put it in neutral. Then I can give throttle again and no alarm until the next big waves hit. I have changed most og the wires between the motor and the console and instruments. changed the impeller, changed the temp valves. I think maybe it is an electrical problem....help anybody!? the motor has oil and is not hot. how to diagnose?

I would check the dead man emergency switch. If the key is in and the switch is turned on ( run position) and the dead man switch lanyard is not in place you will get an alarm when you try to start it. If there is a problem with the switch or its wiring it might give you an intermittent alarm. It sounds like excessive movement might cause it to think the lanyard is disconnected. Just a thought. Good luck.

thanks for reply. Today I tested the boat again and the strange thing was that today when I pushed the throttle and the boat got into plane the alarm went off straight away. The three black oil lamp warning dots is flashing, The motor also started smoking a lot more. The alarm goes off in neutral and I can drive the boat slowly - I guess limp mode. I also tried to give throttle in neutral and the alarm goes off. So the problem is worse now. I guess it's not just electrical now. For me it seems maybe the oil pump ?! Both the internal oil tank and the external has lots of oil.
Is it getting too much oil? What will make it alarm on the oil symbols when there is oil?
