"Took the carbs apart, cleaned

"Took the carbs apart, cleaned new seals and needle. Starts up perfect runs great with the hose. Stop again, wait a while and re-start runs great. Placed the boat in the water, started and ran fine for 10 minutes and the engine died. waited a minute and started fine, got to the dock let it sit for awhile with the engine running, 5 minuted went dead again. Checked the sparkies and no spark. Can the powerpack or stator be dying when they get warmed up? Why would it die in the water and not on the hose?"

"I've had the powerpack do

"I've had the powerpack do the same thing on my 1989 115. When it quits it is just like someone turned the key off, no sputtering or coughing as it quits...just cuts out dead."

"The marina want to charge $19

"The marina want to charge $199 for removing and cleaning the carbs, $399 for an aftermarket CDI plus labor it's going to be $649. Too much?"

"Engine running great, re-buil

"Engine running great, re-built carbs and a new power pack. prior to taking the boat to the mechanic, I had purchased two new batteries; starter and a deep cycle. All my lights worked, the cd player worked. Now after the cdi was replaced none of my lights are working, cd player doesn't work nor the horn. Could replacing the cdi effect all of these?"

"Sounds like the main power su

"Sounds like the main power supply to the fuse block hasn't been re-attached to the batteries. Check that all conections have been made to batteries, check fuses/breakers as well."
