I have just replaced my trim/

I have just replaced my trim/ tilt motor and I cannot get the motor to move. The motor has no resistance when I manually let it down. Can anyone tell me the proper way to fill the cylinder with fluid and how to bleed the air out of it. The screw that is used to manually move the motor is tight and it still has no resistance going down but it takes about 3 people to lift the motor when the screw is tight.

Thanks

On the power trim unit u will

On the power trim unit u will find a plug to fill the unit. The best way to bleed the system is realse the manual screw when motor is up let it come down you will here the air bubbles in the unit tighten lift motor with switch repeat untill satisfied.Note keep checking fluid level when u pull the plug with the motor up fluid should slowly leak out it should take a few times to get the air out.

When you put the pump on you h

When you put the pump on you have to make sure the shaft from the motor is sitting in the grove on the unit if not the pump will turn and not pump fluid that also could b ur prob have done this myshelf took me awhile before i realized what was wrong. Hope that helps

When I pull the manual release

When I pull the manual release plug and hit the button it will shoot fluid out of that hole. I am assuming that means the shaft is sitting in the groove. What do you think?

"Was the motor up or down when

"Was the motor up or down when u did this? The reason why i ask is if the motor is down the ram is compressed and the fluid will squirt out Without the motor turning, from all that pressure. Try doing it with the motor up and hit the switch down if in the grove it will squirt out instead of pouring out."

"Yeah it squirts out when the

"Yeah it squirts out when the motor is up. So i guess its in the correct place. I havent tried bleeding it again, I will get back when I do. Thanks for the help."

"you needed to bench bleed

"you needed to bench bleed

try with motor fully up and add fluid
then use manual relief to go down, then motor to go up and fill again

try it 3 times"
