"What year, what model, service history, has it had major work done on it, when did it start? More info is needed.

It sounds like classic vapor lock. Try opening the motor box or turning the blower on for a few minutes if it doesn't start the next time. If it starts, you'll know why. Next time you start it when it sits after a hard run, turn the key to ON and look at the temperature gauge. If it's much over 200° F, I think it's safe to say it's vapor lock."
