Wiring question

Hopefully this is the right place for this question. I have a Minn kota 30lbs 12v trolling motor on my j14 carolina skiff. At the moment I have it mounted on the back of the boat. I want to mount it on the bow. This will be about a 12 ft run to the battery in the stern. What size wire is recommended for this length of run. thanks for any info.

4 awg should be good.

Marine grade (tinned) wire and terminals will last a long time.
