Wires not connected

Hi Everyone, New to site as I just bought a boat. Its a 1989 Sea Ray 220DA with a 5.7 Alpha. Previous owner had new engine installed. I see where harness is superseded by a 91 harness. I found 4 wires not connected. First is the purple wire on intake which I believe is the resistor wire and should not be hooked up? 2nd) is a white wire next to the thermostatic choke so I assume its for a electric choke? 3rd) is a tan/blue wire on the intake that stretches to the therm housing. There is a temp sensor not hooked up so Im pretty sure this is it. 4th) My most confusing is under the engine is a purple wire with a ring term on it not connected. Could this be for a knock sensor on newer motor? Im puzzled most by this wire!! Thanks for All your help!!
