2001 Mercury 90HP Anyone know where these wires belong or are they not needed?

The purple wire (second pic) should be connected to the rev limiter and warning module. It then feeds the main harness and ultimately the warning horn on the dash or control (as applicable).

Your first pic shows the wires for the trim/tilt harness. They should either go from the trim solenoids to the harness that goes up to the control or dash mounted trim switch.

Your best bet is to spend the 35 bucks on a Seloc's manual and make sure everything is hooked up properly...
