Winterizing 2024 tohatsu 40

I’m concerned about water being in engine block over winter below freezing temperatures.
I have 2024 mfs40a Tohatsu. Is there a drain plug to remove to drain any water left in cylinder head, exhaust manifold or engine block.
Or does is drain itself in down or up position.
I removed the flush port and ran tv antifreeze through it. It ran straight out the water take up
I’m concerned water pockets could remain.
Or is outboard self draining, I’m new to this outboard.

Self draining if left in the vertical position. If not stored in the vertical position rain water/snow melt can potentially enter via the prop hub/exhaust and cause grief. Consult your owners manual for winterization procedures. Ensure your bilge is empty and the bilge pump isn’t sitting in water. I remove my battery to protect it against freezing. Check your lower unit for water ingress, depending on the hours run I will either change the oil completely or drain the oil into a clean container and reuse the same oil for another season. I always change engine oil every fall regardless of the hours, if low hours over the summer then I don’t change the engine oil filter. I’d rather have the engine oil clean sitting over the winter than having used engine oil sitting for 9 months in the oil sump. I will grease all the lubrication points in the fall also.
