Hi All
I have a muir anchor winch about 6 years old. I have been having intermittent problems with it over past few months
After a series of tests I found:
Solenoid seems ok
I only get voltage at the terminals that cone to the winch motor when they are not coned to the motor
When I connect them and test again, there is no voltage across the terminals, can just hear the solenoid clicking
upon closer inspection I noted that the light o the breaker switch as going off when pressed the winch switch. but the breaker was not going off
Also there is zero resistance between the two motor terminals on the multimeter test not sure If this is normal?
Could it be?
Jammed windlass gears
Faulty breaker switch
Winch motor?
