"If the motor is properly tune

"If the motor is properly tuned, impeller changed at regular intervals and thermostat/poppet working correctly then NO, trolling will not hurt the motor.

It can lead to shorter sparkplug life and can cause some excess carbon build-up. But if you change the plugs anually (as recommended by Merc) and run some "powertune" or "seafoam" through the system at the intervals recommended on the cans then you should have no issues.

I don't remember off the top of my head which plugs your model is running. With some models there is two listings - one a surface gap plug and the other a regular gapped plug.

A gapped plug is better for alot of low rpm running and may be an option in your particular application if you are running surface gaps..."

Mate your motor is the two plu

Mate your motor is the two plus two engine which runs on two cyclinders until about 2200rpms great for troling wont hurt it and takes j gap type plugs which are cheap and can be replace once a year
