Hello everyone, hope you are having a great boating season!
1. Just had to replace my second Power Regulator / Rectifier! Performed a multitude of tests with two Volt Gauges and a volt meter. Definitely needed a new one. Related symptoms gone after replacement. Appropriate voltages normal.
2. Also experiencing some occasional bogging issues at speed / high RPM. Have had to replace fuel pump in the past. This time it did not feel the same. Was intermittent and squeezing primer bulb made no difference. Cleaned fuel filters, tried fuel additive and moved on to replace the spark plugs next. They were replaced late last summer and didn't have a lot of use on them but why not. They were the recommended NKG plugs for my engine. Gapped and installed properly. No issues last season or throughout May/June this year until above symptoms. Just pulled them and every single spark plug terminal is loose! Not just a little but backed off considerably! I KNOW they were not like that when I installed them! Replaced with Champion plugs, idled fine in driveway (but then it always did) and awaiting next on the water test.
My question is would these plugs in the above condition start causing irregular / bad voltages that somehow would have ruined a Power Regulator / Rectifier? And also bad spark resulting in above bogging / misfires?

Thanks for any info!
