Will an '84-90 6/8 hp swivel bracket fit on '80-83 4.5/7.5 motor?

My '81 4.5 doesn't have a tilt lock, only the shallow water drive.

The '84-90 6/8 hp has a tilt lock but will the the swivel bracket fit on my '81 4.5?

Not OMC, nor anyone else to my knowledge, has an interchange on that item. I just checked my books and judging by the looks of the two, perhaps you would be able to switch them around... BUT... that's not a certainty.

However, at least, this will get you back to the top of the listing where other members might jump in.
